Eight Cases of Jane by R.J. Powell
3.25

'The infamous Snowfall Slayer, as the media portrayed her, is appearing before me today. She murdered eight men between October 1995 and January 1996 every time it snowed.'

Jane is gregarious and nefarious and full of female rage. This is her psych interview with the grisly details of her kills (which are quite creative and inspired!). Doc questions what he's up against as the tension builds. And also, eyeball horror!

'As she spoke, a sense of unease settled over me, and I couldn't shake the feeling that I was in over my head.'
