Thank you Jessica for sending me an ARC of this book!
I have to admit, I was skeptical before starting. We know Lux from Ace of Betrayal where we only really saw her as a mean girl style influencer, so to have a book about her piqued my curiosity but I wasn’t sure how I was going to fall as in love with her as I had Walker.
Allow me to eat my words.
There is a depth to Lux which I think we can all resonate with; how the image someone portrays on social media can mask someone’s real life. Jessica has done a great job of making Lux human and relatable, with Slate giving her a crash course in “real life”, and by the end I yearned for her to have some real, genuine joy in her life.
I devoured this book and it left me craving the next one, I am feeling quite bereft without the citizens of Wesbourne’s elite in my life! And any book that makes you want the next one immediately is definitely worth adding to your TBR.
