Hotel for the Lost by Suzanne Young

3.0

I really liked the premise of this book. I liked where it went, and I thought the plot was really awesome. But the characters were annoying. Young goes on and on about how perfect Daniel (the protagonist's brother) is. Over and over. When really, the guy seems arrogant and drop-dead stupid. In fact, Young repeats herself quite often when it comes to the characters. She states that one character is a psychopath at least 3 times, when the readers can remember that all by themselves (tyvm.) And I don't even want to go into how often Elias is described.

The whole Elias-Audrey relationship bordered on ridiculous. I'm so tired of insta-love (and lust. Ugh. So much lust.)

I would've liked more detailed history, maybe some more backstories on different characters. But I did like the book. It was atmospheric and moody and that plot was great.
