*rant time - proper review (kinda) below*
the fork was that ending? Annette.... come on hon.....
i know there's a whole other series focused on these characters, but i still want a conclusion! i still want a SATISFYING ending where i feel complete! and i didn't get crap! it wasn't a cliffhanger, but it wasn't anything satisfying either. it would make more sense for there to be a whole other book in this series, and yeah, as said above, i do know there's going to be another series. but we still deserve a complete conclusion with no loose ends and a happily ever after where everyone rides off into the sunset! i at least wanted a short epilogue to make me happy where all the draconians are living their best life in their city, and where Piper and Lyre and Ash are still besties and Zwi has found love or some crap (Zwi i love you with all my heart).
but instead i finish this series unsatisfied. hmph. disappointment.

basically this was a fun and entertaining series (apart from that ending) with characters that i fell in love with, and Annette Marie's iconic addictive writing that you can't put down. our little cheese-loving Zwi was a darling and a half (you get more Zwi in the collection of scenes in Lyre and Ash's POV) and Lyre was much more 3D and interesting than i originally thought. Ash and Piper both had amazing character development throughout the series, and their relationship definitely grew and improved as the series continued, which i loved. also Kiev! i highkey loved him, what a cutie!
