For me this book lacked a bit in plot. It was not easy to follow the politics or all of the various names. The twist could be seen from miles off. However, it's beautifully written. The prose is nearly poetry. I also really enjoyed a book about queer women that wasn't specifically a love story. Besides Stone Buch Blues, I have never read a book with a stone butch main character. It's a refreshing perspective!
