This book touched on a lot of serious topics without really going in-depth on how they affected the main character. Sera comes across as a little bit of a robot. She doesn’t really have a personality to speak of. The book tells you that she and her family are going through all these difficult things, but it doesn’t do a good job of showing any of that. I was mostly just bored reading this.
