Based on a True Story
by Norm Macdonald
Have you ever wanted to know about the meteoric rise to fame of a Canadian stand-up comedian as he becomes a writer, then cast member, then one of the most successful hosts of SNL's 'Weekend Update'? A man with a dry wit and the promoter of the idea that "the joke is the punchline"? A man who nearly lost it all to addiction, only to gain it all back and reestablish his rightful place in the world of comedy? Then don't read this book. Not a single word of it is true, it's full of the raving fantasies of a mad man, rude and crude jokes fill every page, every offensive thing you could think of is said on almost every single page! In short; this book bangs. If you know anything about Norm Macdonald and his very specific brand of humor, then I would recommend adding this to your TBR for a very hilarious read.
