I liked this! It was my first full-length Elin Hilderbrand, and I definitely felt a good pang of that book-snob shame even (especially?!?) as I enjoyed it. It worked well for me in digital format, which hasn’t been such an easy find for me (I can’t do my go-to literary fiction, which I way prefer in hard copy, or full-out genre fiction like rom-coms and thrillers, which I enjoy more on audio!), so I’m grateful to have found a little corner of reasonably well-written, light/easy books to read on a Kindle. This particular one was great by the pool, compelling enough that I could pick it up even if I left it for a week, and overall was a pretty fun, summery read when I needed one! I liked the rich people probs/infidelity/beach setting juxtaposition. I’ll definitely read more EH, and maybe someday not feel sheepish about it. (Maybe.)
