This is my most anticipated book of the year and it did not disappoint. There is so much to love about this book. There's so much to enjoy about this book. I'm a lore person and there is so much new lore as well as Sith lure in this and Christopher does an amazing job presenting the new content to you. If you're a sequel lover you will love this added piece to the sequel era. If you're not a sequel fan like myself I still enjoyed this book and like I said in the beginning I was really looking forward to it. Even though you're not a sequel fan or lover you can still really enjoy this book.
My biggest takeaway for this book has to be everything surrounding the Sith Lore. I feel in current Star Wars as well as Canon Star Wars for the past two decades we don't have a lot of Sith Lord to dive in to. So seeing this fresh in Canon makes me really happy.
Some cons for the book, which I think I'm just being a little bit nitpicky. I feel the second act was a little cumbersome. It felt like it went a little off the rails a little bit. Not so much to take you away but you just felt it. There was a lot of questions that I had during the first two acts that I hope was answered in the third which it was. So I don't really want to say that it was a con of the book.
I really do hope this spins off into a certain type of trilogy or a sequel because I want a lot of more of these stories to be told.
So overall the reason why I didn't give it a perfect score is just because of that second act. But it's an amazing read. Like I said in the beginning my most anticipated book of the year and I'm already rereading it.
