This is definitely an inspiring read and would definitely check it out if you are looking for a reflective and deep read. In addition, this book intertwines the author's mother's and fathers' side of families' going back and forth to different characters' perspectives.
Moderate: Misogyny, Injury/Injury detail, Blood, Gun violence, Murder, Grief, Police brutality, Racial slurs, Racism, War, Cursing, Violence, Alcohol, and Alcoholism
Minor: Rape
I would just like to add that this book is non fiction. It is about the author's family and their journey to America during the 90s which is why there are tags such as e.g. racism and police brutality. These topics are addressed in the book as it tells a realistic portrayal during that time period.
