Neon Gods by Katee Robert
Did not finish book.
DNF. I’m not going to rate as I only read the first 100 pages. I thought this was going to be dark and suspenseful but unfortunately it was neither for me.
I liked Kate’s writing style, it was easy to read and the premise was interesting. However, as soon as Hades mentioned ‘the room’ I had a feeling this wasn’t the book for me. For one, I don’t enjoy the sub/dom trope as I personally find it boring and two, correct me if I’m wrong but this felt like if Christian Grey ruled Velaris?!
Hades was sweet, and not nearly morally grey enough for me considering legend has it that he rules the underworld. I think I just needed a bit more angst and a bit more villian. Anyways, I won’t be continuing the series.
