This book surprised me as I kept reading it. I expected a lighter tale and it dealt with heavier topics than expected as it went on. Towards the end, I had trouble putting it down as the layers kept peeling back. I rated it high because I couldn’t put it down, but I don’t know if I really liked the book. But the fact that it’s sticking with me beyond the final chapter is a sign it made an impression.
