I don’t think I’ve ever used the term “book hangover” but I’m fucking feeling it right now. I’m speechless. I can’t stop thinking about this trilogy. I need to buy this in paperback. I simply need more. Thank god this author wrote books for the side characters because I’m about to read her entire back list.
Hot damn. This trilogy is going down as one the best mafia series I’ve ever read.

“I’m married.
I’m pregnant.
A psycho we’ve all underestimated is still holding my best friend hostage.
Dante’s decided to wage war with a Russian billionaire Bratva boss”

and that’s the basis of book three. But let me tell you, when you think that someone is on one team, they’re on the complete opposite team that you didn’t even expect. There are so many players in the game it is.. I don’t even know... I’m speechless still a day after reading this series.

This series is pretty dark as it has a lot of murder in it but it also talks a lot about sex trafficking minors. And I’m talking about really young children. One child is Dante’s from a past fling he had. And while he was never part of the child’s life, he does seek revenge.
Dante - he’s a really brutal character. He is everything that I expect to read when it comes reading a mafia “romance”.
He’s done some things in this trilogy that I personally could not forgive him for but his relationship with Eve is the purest form of obsessive love and dark romance.

“He uses the word ‘love’ so sparingly, but when he bestows it he hangs my own heart amongst the stars in the sky. I love the bones of this man. I love the light that he fights so hard to repress. I love the dark that he unleashes to keep me safe.”

Eve was made for Dante. If she can love this man and forgive him for all his sins?!
And the sex scenes between these two?!
