Dungeons & Dragons: Shadows of the Vampire by Jim Zub, Nelson Dániel

2.0

It feels like filler. It feels rushed. It feels like at some point, they wanted things to just end. And then they stuck an extra issue on at the end that had no connections at all (as far as I could tell) to anything in the rest of the collection (besides being about D&D).

It has some of the humor I look for in a D&D book (which matches my experiences playing at various tables over the years). But the characters are all reactionary. This is a story that happens to them, that they experience. This is a DM running a party through their unpublished novel without letting the players do anything to impact events as they occur. The player characters are just along for the ride until they end up set up for the start of the next trade.
