Defy the Stars by Claudia Gray

4.0

I really enjoyed this audiobook a lot. I don't know why I haven't caught on yet that Claudia Gray is hecka awesome, because every book I've read of hers has been good. (Remember that, brain!)

Abel and Noemi were such fun and interesting characters to read about and I loved watching the dynamics between them. I say "watching" because Claudia has a way of making me see the story like few others can. I thought this was a really great balance between being sciency and straightforward, in other words, it wasn't too complicated for my brain to handle.

Space, friendships, a super weird romance, and saving humanity from itself - this book is . . . wait for it . . . out of this world. (I'm sorry. Really)

*About the audiobook*
This one kept me listening at all hours of the day, and the narration was great. It had two different narrators for Noemi and Abel's POVs. I liked them both, but really fell in love with CLH's voice. She was awesome. I liked Nate B's voice as well, but I was a little confused as to why he used a robotic voice for Abel. I mean, I know he's a robot, but he was supposed to blend in so much that people didn't know, so that didn't really make sense to me. Still enjoyable though.
