I have read this book and this series before, and I maintain that this is the best book in the series. I don't know whether I've grown as a reader or what, but this book didn't hit as hard as I remember it hitting the first time around. I love the princess/bodyguard vibes as they remind me of Princess Diaries for some reason. I think that Rhys's tough-on-the-outside-soft-on-the-inside for Bridget demeanor is always fun. But if you think about it, there is minimal plot for the majority of the book. I also don't remember them really coming back or showing up a lot in any of the subsequent books, which is what makes this series so fun, especially because this is the couple I want to see the most.
