This is one of the best reads of this year for me. There are ofcourse some ups and some downs but at the end, it's so beautiful, written with so much heart and soul and handled with gentleness.

Zahra, is such a character, everyone can find something in her to relate to her passion, her kindness or her fear. All of the characters are so well thought out it's so great to see that.

Now I'm not 18 but if I had this at 18 maybe I wouldn't understand it as much as I did now.

Mother daughter relationships are so complex, especially brown ones and Querishi handles it and presents it with all the detail and understanding it deserves. To put such complex emotions in such simple words is a great feat.

All in all, I laughed, I cried and I found myself somewhere in between Querishi's word and her beautiful array of characters I've come to love so much. Definitely going to come back and read this again and again for years.
