I picked up this book to read while waiting for another book to be available from my library, but I was not prepared for the heartbreaking journey I was about to embark on. Rebecca lived a life few would come out of still proclaiming the goodness and mercy of God, and it's by God's grace that she still does. Her story paints an admirable level of forgiveness, even in the face of danger, threats, and death. This book challenged my own commitment to forgiveness and challenged me to let go of my bitterness, despite the justness of a situation or not. I'm grateful that she shared her story, as challenging as it probably was, and I will definitely recommend this book to others.
