Bloom Into You, Vol. 8 by Nakatani Nio

5.0

Starting off 2021 with the final volume of a series. Works for me!

The most frustrating aspect of a reviewing a final volume is that there's not a whole lot to say if you want to avoid spoilers. So as much as I want to gush and gush, I'll this as vague as possible.

Here's what I will say: this volume was a perfect conclusion to the series is every way. Yuu and Touko were awesome, the story wrapped up without feeling rushed, the artwork was as incredible as ever, the paneling was great, just all of it was wonderful. And yes, I did cry, because this series has consistently hit me in the feels and this volume was no different. I know that's not much to go off of, but I'm really trying not to spoil this because it's something worth experiencing spoiler-free.

So, final thoughts on this series. This is easily one of if not the best yuri series I've ever read. It treats the relationship with respect, the drama is justified without being ridiculous, the characters are realistic and relatable, and the artwork is beautiful. If you've never read a yuri manga or are looking for a good recommendation, definitely give this series a chance. It's absolutely worth the hype.
