Trigger warning: assault, rape.
This is a very dark tale… I did not expect to read something so deeply reflective of womens place in the world. It was gut wrenchingly brutal and unapologetic in its exploration of sexism and rape culture. But the storytelling was reminiscent of the greats - a true Grimms fairytale that had me hooked from 20 pages in. I had to know how it ended.
