A Fate Inked in Blood by Danielle L. Jensen

4.0

“You are mine, Born-in-Fire. Even if only the two of us know it.”

A solid first book. I loved the pacing, as well as the banter between Freya and Bjorn. There were a couple of plot moments that had me thinking in a completely different direction than what turned out to be the truth and the Norse mythology weaved through it all is interesting.

The slow burn was nice and I didn't mind Freya's instant physical attraction to Bjorn. We must remember, she is an unsatisfied wife through and through, being hot and horny for someone completely different to her husband is more than understandable.

The highlights highlighted and the quotes did quote in this book.

I did see a bit of Keris in Bjorn, especially later on in the book. Little scheming devils, they both are.

The ending was on a cliffhanger and while I don't mind it, I don't feel the obsession and desire to possess book two immediately (even if it were possible), which is surprising.

Definitely a solid start, but probably not my favourite book of Jensen's.
