Book came off as incredibly pretentious at times. Yes I understand why she has the taste she does but it felt like with every page turn they were more references to her tailored cloths, vegan diet, and herbs. I swear one part mentioned the calming effects three times in two paragraphs. I have nothing against any of those things but when it's mentioned so often it starts to grate on the nerves. I also don't like the theme that you can't truly be happy unless you have some sort of friend group around you. Like your lacking unless you let people in. 

However, I did enjoy it over all, especially towards the end when the mystery wrapped up.
