I’m a fan of dark romance, but this was really not for me.

It gives a kind of bizarre and unrealistic depiction of psychosis, complicated by not only intense gaslighting on the part of the MMC, but dishonesty and withholding of information from the FMC that further destabilizes her but is “for her own good” (according to the MMC).

It resulted in a relationship that wasn’t remotely believable. Rarely do I want the characters to NOT be together at the end of a book, but in this case, I really hated it.
