I purchased the Audible duet which contains “Man in Charge” and “Man in Love”. First, the narrators were fantastic in both books!
Both books are duel narration but the first book was told from Tessa’s POV. This made Scott mysterious because you didn’t know if what he was saying was truthful. Scott was a powerful businessman, ladies man who had never been in a relationship, and he had a few moments of vulnerability. I loved all of the office scenes when he dominated the room. There are only 3 spicy scenes in the first book and less in the second. The first book ends on a jaw dropping cliffhanger.
Man in Love. This books picks up right where the last book left off. However, instead of being told in only Tessa’s POV it’s told in both Tessa and Scott’s POV. Some might think that Scott’s character evolved but I’m not sure. Scott’s personality changed too quickly. He wasn’t dominating in this book, which I missed. He went from being overly confident to insecure. There was room for him to be both.
If you’re interested in these two books, get the bundle titled, “Man In Charge Duet Book 1-2”
Overall, the story was interesting. It isn’t my favorite but I’m also not disappointed in using an Audible credit.
