After the Funeral
by Agatha Christie
This who-done-it certainly isn't typical of Hercule Poirot but perhaps a bit older Poirot who has a very complicated case involving a wealthy family going through troubling times that are not only effected by post-war economics but certain internal disfunctions. It's a mixed bag of personalities and characters. The family lawyer, the police inspector, and Poirot are actually working together to get the bottom of a complex mess. There some interesting twists and turns that are enough to keep the brain in gear and the reader's interest high.
