Give Me a Sign by Anna Sortino

5.0

This was so good omg. Surpassed all of my expectations ever.

Thank you so much Penguin Teen for the Advanced Readers Copy!

Give Me a Sign is an impactful story about a girl navigating Deafness and finding a community through counselling at a summer camp for the Deaf and Blind. This story has important topics like the use of ASL by hearing people, prejudice, accessibility, and more. These are all conversations that need to become more popular, and we need to listen to voices that are apart of these communities.

Give Me a Sign is the perfect summer read, I absolutely recommend it to anyone and everyone no matter what genres you read. I personally mainly read fantasy and mystery, but I've been trying to explore other genres and Give Me a Sign was incredible and exactly what I needed in my reading slump.

I highly recommend this book, so make sure to request it at your local library or buy it from your local indie bookstore, and add it on all of your reading apps including this one!!
