I thought Matriarch was well written. I was both shocked and unsurprised at everything Ms. Tina’s family went through. As a member of the Bey Hive and fan of Solange, there’s so much that makes sense after reading this book, but Ms. Tina wrote this book for herself primarily. I’ve been supporting Destiny’s Child since they first came out in 97. I appreciate everything Ms. Tina sacrificed and worked for so that her girls could be where they are now. I’m glad she got to tell her story on her terms.
