The stories and characters all felt very similar, and not in a good way. I just wasn’t really able to connect with whatever message the author was trying to convey. It’s mostly stories about characters who have obvious social deficiencies trying and failing to have relationships with other people. There isn’t a real sense of resolution to most of the stories. The point seems to be to make the reader feel as sad and lonely as the characters in the stories. If so, mission accomplished, but this one wasn’t quite for me.
