by Meg Cabot
I will start this off by saying I am a huge Meg Cabot fan and when a new book comes out every other book I am reading or about to read is forgotten because Meg comes first!
So this is the story of Bree who moves to Little Bridge Island after her boyfriend and mother don't take her seriously after something happens to her (vague I know but doing my best not to spoil anything). She cuts off all contact and off she goes.
She starts working at the mermaid cafe and soon has many friends on the island and is settling in nicely. She also gets to know her boss's nephew Drew Hartwell, known as little bridges heartbreaker.
A big hurricane hits Little Bridge and it leaves the island cut off from the main land with no power. Bree realises that quite a few of the Islands residents evacuated without their pets and so she sets out to take care of all the animals she can with the help of the dreamy Drew Hartwell.
This is the perfect book romance and animals, what's not to love!? I really adored this story and must say perhaps it's one of the best of Megs books. I also loved that there was a sneak peak of the next book in the series.
Plus there is a recipe for the hurricane dip and lemon pudding cake mentioned in the book as well which I thought was a great addition.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an Arc copy in exchange for an honest review.
