Semiotics, FTW

This books has so many cool things for a true crime history buff spiritual nerd that it would be hard to list 'em all and expect people to believe me. At first, I thought this was just another derivative serial cash grab but the narrative changed my mind very quickly. It's one of those books you need to read a second time to spot the subtle nuances that give up the ending - I was suprised I missed the clues and got caught up by the protagonist's biases and thought process. A fun modern thriller with lots of diversity and inclusion representation, without insisting upon its "wokeness"; the strong female characters were worth the read. Triggers include death, violence, some gore and prostitution/mentions of human trafficking. Can't wait to check out book #2!
