#DRCL midnight children, Vol. 1 by Shin'ichi Sakamoto
4.0
It’s very hard to review a volume of manga as it’s just a small portion of a much larger story. However…
The artwork is absolutely incredible and was the first thing that drew me to buy this series.
The volume as a whole is actually quite confusing, flitting between characters/settings very quickly that I had to go back and see if i had missed anything.
Confusion aside, all the characters definitely have their own personalities that I can’t wait to explore in future volumes.Mina seems to love Lucy, who is the Luke’s nighttime persona. Trans maybe? From what I gathered, Luke/Lucy was bitten by the demon dog at the cemetery and turned into a vampire.
I’ve already started the second volume as I’m eager to learn more about the characters and what become of them, and maybe it was clarify a few things for me when it comes to the story. But so far, so good. I just can’t get over how amazing the artwork is!!
