For a debut novel, this book honestly astounded me. The heartfelt connection that is built between you and the central character is something that I hadn’t felt in a while. The inclusion of second person narrative often made me lost in wether I was talking to are a dear friend or I was in fact them.

The novel often reflected upon contemporary issues in a manner that was both reflective and informative. I really enjoyed the references the novel used and it helped form a connection between past, present and the narrative.

I thought the relationship was an extremely interesting way to display the central themes that the novel presented; existentialism, meaning, etc. and how we often understood the importance of these theories on their relationship and our own.
