Look, this book wasn't great. It wasn't even good for a beach read. I kept reading it mostly because I'd paid for it and because despite its many, many flaws (which include some really weird messages about sexism and racism), it was kind of neat to see a protagonist with a chronic illness that doesn't really figure in to her successes or failures, and the book did a decent job of confronting the messages she gets around that from others. Also, it was an audiobook, and I'm always a little more tolerant of books consumed in audio form. But unless you want to fall all the way into the well of shoddy beach reads / sexless romance novels, I'd skip this one.
