Return of the Mummy by R.L. Stine

3.0

I'm finally getting back into the Goosebumps series after I moved and I got all my books out of storage. This felt like a really unnecessary sequel and I wish it was used for an original story instead. It focused on the same awful cousins before who were uber competitive and very nauseating to read. This was a waste of my time but I'm glad that I'm picking up the series again after months' hiatus. The Egyptian setting was still pretty rad but I can't help but emphasize the importance of not chanting strange Latin inscriptions without knowing what they do. Didn't your mummy teach you anything?
