I still absolutely love any Kate Daniels story, but after reading a certain review of this particular book it made me realize why it takes me so long to read this series.
While I do enjoy how much action there is and how straightforward the narrative is and how it doesn't diddle-daddle at all, i...would like some daddle? I feel almost exhausted when I read what she's going through and I wish I would get a couple of chapters where there genuinely was just talking and we could see the characters live the "boring" part of their lives both at the end and at the beginning of the books.
This is my only slight complaint though, since I do understand that most people generally prefer a more concise, to-the-point story.
