Beyond Burnside is a continuation of The Batgirl of Burnside, but I preferred the latter. Batgirl of Burnside had heart and emotion and sass and a spark that Beyond Burnside is missing. The plot was dull, made no sense, and was too easily resolved. I liked Batgirl of Burnside because she relied on her friends and wasn't just a one-woman show; she had a network of people. Maybe I shouldn't compare them when they're done by two different teams of people, but it's hard not to. Plus the clothes the characters wore in Batgirl of Burnside was super cute and I wished I could raid their closets, but not so in this one.
