The Skating Rink by Roberto Bolaño

4.0

A murder mystery, but done in Bolaño's inimitable fashion. Yet again, I finished one of his books and thought, "I'd really like to read that again".

The story is told by three men who all spend the summer season in the Spanish seaside town of Z. They are all involved in the central murder, but just how involved isn't ever entirely clear. Alienation and death pervade the book, and made it a really good read.
