When I first heard about this series, I was really intrigued by the idea that four different authors were going to write one of the four books. And I was really looking forward to the Gena Showalter and Nalini Singh ones.
Despite hearing that this wasn't one of Gena's best, I really liked it. It may not be my "Oh my God, this is totally my favorite of hers!" book, but it was still really good. I liked the world she started building up and I loved Nicolai and Jane. They were a great couple.
My only complaint is that it was too short! It is significantly smaller than pretty much anything Gena has written to date. That made Leah sad. And I've noticed the other books are just as short. Buuuut, I suppose I will get over it. At least they are consistent in the lengths.
Anyway, I really enjoyed this and I cannot wait to read about Breena, Dayn, and Micah! Jill, Jessica, and Nalini, here I come!
