Revival by Stephen King

5.0

Everyone had been on my ass for this book. Calling it peak current King.
And they weren't wrong. Revival is a fascinating build up of coming of age that King is greatly known for, budding into the mystery that he would dip his toes into and then relish, and ending with a cosmic horror trip that was very much not what I was expecting.
I don't really know what else to say. It's King. It reads like King, builds up like King, and unlike most Kings sticks the landing. The story is engaging, of course. Still not without it's blemishes, of course. But a refreshing take nonetheless.
