listen, was this book incredibly addicting, just like the OG trilogy? yes, but was this a necessary addition to the hunger games universe? i don’t think so. this didn’t give any new insight into snow, and i didn’t really buy the “love story” between him and lucy gray. i guess i was looking for more action, and this read more like a thesis on nature versus nurture. which isn’t a bad thing, in fact i found it incredibly interesting! it just wasn’t what i was expecting.
i hear sunrise on the reaping is way better, so fingers crossed i like that better than this
