I have a bit of a sliding scale with my rating system, so while this wasn’t really as good as some other recent 4 star reads of mine, it’s the best KU romance I’ve picked up in a while and it was a relief.
I did love the cameos from the author’s other series, and I’m pretty confident I’ll like the rest of this one. It was a little heavy handed with the family stuff, but I still really enjoyed Emory and Gray as a couple.
The most jarring thing for me, though, was seeing them have a reunion for a high school class of 2015. I just automatically assume characters are my age and I am always startled when they are so much younger.
