Devotion: An Epic Story of Heroism, Friendship, and Sacrifice by Adam Makos

2.0

I read the first 30 pages and just couldn't go on. The plot is involving (I enjoyed the opening flight sequence), but the writing seems amateurish, almost as if this were ready-made to be converted into a screenplay. Unbroken this is not. The "rah, rah, All American Hero" feel of it and the whiff of jingoistic, American superiority is also a bit of a turn-off.
