Gone to See the River Man by Kristopher Triana

5.0

Edit: I'm changing to 5 starts (from 4 stars). Im still thinking about this book months after finishing it.

This was my first book by Kristopher Triana, and overall was a great read. I loved how the book was divided into chapters including the past, present, & the letters of communication.

The book was dark overall with some really disturbing parts throughout that pieced the the whole story together. I had to put the book down twice to really process some of the information and feel sad. (after reading about what Lori has done to Pete in the childhood years & the letter from Edmund about his uncle and how it had all begun for him.) It was gruesome and it was sad. I was hooked thought, I need to know what happens next.

I usually find endings to be underwhelming or cut too short and lacking closure. In this book I found the ending to be very fitting, It was short but powerful. I will definitely be reading more books from this author soon.
