Renae’s prose is beautiful & the world she crafted is unique & drew me in immediately. I am so surprised by this novel. I LOVED it.

Pros:
  • World building
  • Atmosphere
  • Fantasy elements
  • Characters / character growth (I am deeply invested & attached to them)
  • Allegorical faith elements were very well executed & felt natural
  • The romance (ugh I love them)
  • Twists & turns (my jaw dropped at the end!)
  • Made me cry
  • Basically everything
  • I want to live in this story

Cons:
  • Multiple 1st person POVs aren’t my thing so that took some getting used to, but that pales in comparison to all the great things about this book

So, yeah. I loved it & am looking forward to the next one!
