If you're looking for a lighthearted, ridiculous, and funny book, then you need to read this!
I believe this was written for middle-grade, but it reads like Harry Potter, which even adults can enjoy. I needed something light and silly after some heavy nonfiction reads and came across this title and was like why not. It did not disappoint.
Enter a 14-year-old female wizard whose minor powers only extend to working with dough. She finds herself somehow getting wrapped up in a murder mystery and political intrigue. Homegirl just wants to bake but finds herself in a whole mess of trouble. She has two familiars, one a sourdough starter named Bob and an animated gingerbread man. That's all I'm gonna say. If that doesn't intrigue you, then this may not be the book for you.
