This book was a beast to get through. It was very difficult and I had to set it down multiple times. However, I loved it. The prose is beautiful and you find yourself caring about these characters so deeply. I was heavily invested in Jude’s life, hoping that he got his peace in the end and having my heart hurt with every falter. I haven’t cried this hard at a book in awhile. Made me think about life and my relationships in a deeper way. Don’t know if I’ll ever be able to read it again, but glad I got to at least once. Be mindful, lots of trigger warnings
