And yet this is still a well written and fun story! Brie comes off as very strong and independent; completely capable of making her own decisions. Unlike other heroines of this genre, she actually is those things… for the most part. Her flaws and insecurities are masked by the need to protect her sister.
BIG SHOUTOUT… to the Goblins! They’re so great and I’d like to see them utilized more. Not just in this world but other fantasy books as well.
