If you read DYD and hated Avery and aren’t sure if he should get a redemption, I BEG you to give him a chance. Avery’s growth was beautifully done without making it out to seem that his actions were okay when they were very much not. This was a slow process for Avery to accept himself and get to a place where he was proud of the person he is and all that comes with that. Kaleb definitely helped Avery’s self-discovery and self-acceptance journey. CE Ricci just knows how to write a redemption and I miss these characters so much already. Definitely can’t wait for a reread.
