Rapt: Attention and the Focused Life by Winifred Gallagher

3.0

A popular look at the nature and function of attention, and how we might use it toward greater health, happiness, and effectiveness. I'm afraid I didn't care for her voice/tone -- just a bit too smooth and clever -- but the book functions well as an overview of much recent research on the psychology, neuroscience, and the practical application of attention. In my opinion, attention deserves a lot more attention than it gets, and this book furthers that in a constructive way.
