Jack of Fables: The Deluxe Edition, Book One by Bill Willingham, Lilah Sturges

3.0

Overall the whole idea for Fables is very interesting and both stories compiled in this edition are good. My only gripe was the art-style that felt a bit boring/bland, all people of the same sex have the exact same face but different hairstyle/haircolor. (Yeah I know, it's nitpicking, but it's also one of my major petpeeves when it comes to comics/manga). But the good thing, this is something that changes and some of it is already visible in the second story-arc (Animal Farm) and it gets more prominent in the second deluxe volume (by then you could remove the hair from character and still be able to tell who it is by their facial feature).

(Actually read this last year but forgot most about the story and had to reread it again).
